So I finally started my personal statement..

(Late right, yeah I know)

and what started out as a well-structured plan of rhetorical strategies, at the right moments, with a reverse chronological order in quoted flashbacks, and an optimistic-yet-cynical narrative voice..

turned out to be a tangent of a rant…
